UKSec Cyber Security Summit 2025 Returns to Strengthen National Cyber Resilience Strategy

Pooja Tikekar

Cyber Leaders From Across the U.K. Will Explore How Innovation, Collaboration and Digital Future

Princeton, NJ – The UKSec: Cyber Security Summit 2025, hosted by QG Media – an ISMG company, will return to London on November 11 and 12, uniting the U.K.’s leading cybersecurity executives, innovators and policymakers to address the most critical challenges facing the digital ecosystem today.

In 2025, cybersecurity remains a board-level priority for U.K. organisations. The year has already underscored the growing complexity of the threat landscape, reinforcing the need for robust, forward-looking strategies that prioritise resilience at their core.

The two-day programme will explore the most pressing topics in modern cybersecurity, including AI governance, third-party risk management, workforce development and supply chain protection. Attendees will gain insights from senior CISOs, government officials and security strategists through keynote sessions, panel discussions and interactive case studies.

“The UKSec Summit is more than an event; it is a platform for progress,” said Kudsia Kaker, managing director at QG Media. “As the U.K. continues to adapt to the realities of digital transformation, UKSec provides the insights, community, and strategic direction needed to help organisations stay secure, compliant and innovative in equal measure.”

One of the highlights of this year’s agenda is the panel discussion “AI at the Crossroads: Balancing Innovation with Risk”, featuring Martin Jimmick, group head of information security at Vue International; Theo Botha, CISO at Dr Martens; Victor Shadare, global head of cybersecurity at Conde Nast; and Tony Povoas, CISO at Aegon UK. The discussion will explore how AI is reshaping industries, and what must be done to manage emerging AI-driven threat vectors while maintaining effective governance and compliance frameworks

Building on this focus on practical learning, the Spear Phishing Case Study led by PC Andy Robinson from the City of London Police’s Cyber Griffin team will offer a rare behind-the-scenes perspective into a real-world cyber investigation. This session will illustrate the importance of proactive cyber hygiene and the tangible benefits of close collaboration between law enforcement and enterprise security teams.

The importance of human capital in cybersecurity will be further explored in the session “Unlocking Hidden Talent Pathways: Cyber Talent Strategies at Sainsbury’s Bank,” presented by Simon Grant, CISO at Sainsbury’s Bank. This case study will examine how innovative recruitment and training practices can identify untapped talent, build diverse teams, and create career pathways for candidates who might otherwise have been overlooked. By linking workforce development to resilience, this discussion will underline the critical role of people in defending against modern cyberthreats.

The summit will also feature a fireside chat with Glen Hymers, CISO at the Cabinet Office, titled “A Balancing Act: How to Drive Innovation Whilst Mitigating Risk.” Hymers will discuss how to enable digital transformation while preserving strong governance, regulatory compliance and threat detection foundations that keep organisations secure in an increasingly fast-paced technological environment.

Threaded throughout the summit are several key themes that connect every session – maintaining compliance in an evolving regulatory environment, balancing innovation with risk, strengthening organisational resilience, empowering people through leadership and education, and enhancing third-party and supply chain security. These interrelated discussions will help participants see how each element of cyber strategy supports the broader goal of safeguarding national and business interests.

“The UKSec Summit will offer an exclusive platform for industry leaders to engage in high-impact discussions, share best practices and collaborate on solutions to tackle evolving threats and regulatory demands,” said Jennifer Eisenhofer, vice president of global events at ISMG.

Beyond the content itself, UKSec 2025 promises an invaluable opportunity for networking and collaboration. Attendees will connect with CISOs, CIOs, policymakers and industry pioneers who are shaping the future of cybersecurity across finance, retail, energy, and government. The exchange of perspectives and experiences is designed to foster meaningful partnerships and strengthen the U.K.’s collective cyber resilience.
