OTsec India 2025: Turning Critical Infrastructure Theory Into Frontline Defense
India’s Premier OT Summit Unites IT and OT Security Leaders to Tackle ICS Vulnerabilities, IT/OT Convergence and AI-Driven Threats
Princeton, NJ – QG Media, the pioneer of OT security events, launches OTsec India, on November 27-28, 2025, in Mumbai, uniting more than 200 senior IT and OT security professionals from India’s critical infrastructure and manufacturing sectors for the first time in a dedicated OT-focused event.
The two-day summit will address escalating cyberthreats targeting India’s industrial control systems as digital transformation accelerates IT/OT convergence across critical sectors. Drawing from almost 15 years of delivering globally recognized CS4CA and ManuSec summits, QG Media will bring proven expertise in OT security content to India’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape at a critical juncture for national infrastructure protection.
“India’s industrial infrastructure faces a critical inflection point where traditional security approaches no longer suffice against sophisticated OT-targeted attacks,” said Kudsia Kaker, managing director at QG Media. “We’re creating a platform where security leaders can move beyond theoretical frameworks to implement practical solutions that protect both operational continuity and national infrastructure.”
Four cornerstone sessions will anchor the summit’s agenda, directly addressing challenges identified by India’s OT security leaders. In the session “The Cyber Frontier: How Is India Responding to Current Threats Facing OT Environments,” Chetansinh Parmar, CISO at Acutas, will explore AI’s dual role in enabling both sophisticated attacks and advanced defense mechanisms. He will discuss frameworks for measuring security progress and critical gaps in national threat response requiring immediate industry and government collaboration.
Santosh Kumar Padhi, global factory cyber security leader at Flora Food Group, will present a comprehensive case study on establishing robust remote access protocols for industrial operations. The session will reveal how organizations embed safety, resilience and cybersecurity principles into remote access frameworks from the design phase.
Breaking down organizational silos emerges as a priority theme as Subhash Singh Punjabi from Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corp. joins Chitranjan Kesari from N R Agarwal Industries in a panel exploring IT/OT stakeholder alignment. The discussion will address practical methods for defining OT security ownership across business units, developing cross-functional training programs, and establishing governance models that eliminate operational silos.
“The convergence of IT and OT environments demands a fundamental shift in how organizations approach industrial cyber security,” said Jennifer Eisenhofer, vice president of events at ISMG. “Through OTsec India, we’ll facilitate crucial conversations between security leaders to enable them to protect critical infrastructure through technical excellence and organizational alignment.”
Two immersive workshops will provide hands-on learning opportunities tailored to different expertise levels. “Introduction to Building a Defensible Architecture in OT” will guide entry-level professionals through fundamental concepts including asset discovery techniques, exposure reduction strategies, network segmentation using switches and VLANs, and designing industrial DMZs.
Advanced practitioners will engage in “OT Cyber Defence: A Hands-On Cyber Range Experience,” utilizing live-fire simulations within realistic ICS environments. The workshop will cover MITRE ATT&CK for ICS framework application, incident response strategies for ransomware events targeting PLC/HMI functionality, remote access abuse scenarios, and multi-stage attack chain analysis. Both workshops will align with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and IEC 62443 standards, providing immediately applicable skills for reducing operational downtime.
OTsec India represents a critical milestone in strengthening India’s industrial cybersecurity posture as the nation advances its digital transformation initiatives. Attendees will walk away with actionable insights on practical frameworks, proven methodologies and strategic connections for building resilient OT environments.
