Experts Tackle Hot Topics, Educating the Security Practitioner and Vendor Communities

Princeton, N.J. August 9, 2017

Information Security Media Group, the leading media provider to the information security community, continued its global summit series with its Fraud and Breach Prevention Summit at the Marriott Marquis in New York City Aug. 8-9. The event featured influential cybersecurity leaders, including Ed Amoroso, founder and CEO of Tag Cyber; David Hahn, CISO of Hearst; and David Pollino, deputy chief security officer, Bank of the West, BNP Paribas.

The New York event gathered leaders from a variety of security sectors to address the rapidly changing cybersecurity environment. Topics included the dangers of growing interconnectedness, the rise of cybercrime as a service and how hacking will impact policies, politics and business.

Among the technology companies featured in the exhibit hall and in informational sessions were RSA, Arbor Networks, Skybox Security, Trend Micro and BioCatch.

“Our flagship event in New York is a platform used by senior security practitioners and technology vendors to convene on an annual basis,” said David Elichman, ISMG’s director of marketing and communications. “We are thrilled that so many people were able to gain the education that they needed over a two-day period.”

ISMG also has held summits this year in San Francisco, Mumbai, Atlanta, Washington, Chicago, Sydney, Bengaluru and Delhi. Upcoming events will be held in Toronto, Singapore, London and Mumbai. Plus, a summit focused on healthcare sector security is slated for New York in November.
