Princeton, NJ – March 8, 2024 – CIO.inc, an ISMG initiative, unveils the inaugural edition of the CIO Business Transformation Awards and Summit to be held on March 13, 2024, at New Delhi, India. Industry leaders will convene to share real-world strategies for nurturing digitally enabled business innovation and celebrate the accomplishments of chief information officers across a variety of domains.
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, CIOs play a pivotal role as agents of change, bridging the gap between technology and business strategy. Under the theme of “Business Transformation 2.0: CIO as a Catalyst of Change,” the thought leaders will delve into how modern CIOs have taken up a transformative role in driving business growth.
“With the emergence of frontier digital technologies, boards are looking at one of their strongest corporate assets – the CIOs – with great hope,” said Rahul Neel Mani, VP of community engagement and editorial, ISMG. “CIOs are well poised to play the role of a catalyst in bridging potential knowledge gaps and helping boardrooms implement tech-centric business strategies.”
The summit will feature a comprehensive lineup of keynotes, panel discussions, plenary sessions and fireside chats led by industry stalwarts. These sessions will delve into visionary strategies and best practices in leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, and data science to drive business transformation.
In the current dynamic threat landscape, CEOs and CIOs must work in partnership to safeguard their enterprise’s information assets. In a keynote titled “Technology as a Catalyst to Establish Competitive Advantage and Market Differentiation: A CEO’s Perspective,” Sougat Chatterjee, executive director and CEO, Abhay Health, will highlight the importance of the CEO-CIO collaboration and the CEO’s role in guiding the organizational IT strategy.
“The CIO Business Transformation Awards and Summit serves as a platform to celebrate the visionary leaders who are propelling their organizations into the future through innovative digital strategies,” said Geetha Nandikotkur, vice president – conferences, Asia, Middle East and Africa, ISMG.

In an era of AI transformation, collaboration between CIOs and CROs is critical to address the escalating cybersecurity risks. In a fireside chat titled “Two-Way Street – Addressing Risks in the Age of AI: A CIO/CRO Debate,” Shailendra Kothavale, chief compliance and risk officer at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance; Pradeep Kumar Rangi, chief risk officer at Airtel Payments Bank; and Sharad Kumar Agarwal, CDIO at JK Tyre and Industries Ltd., will engage in a discussion on the importance of the CIO-CRO partnership to foster a culture of vigilance and shared commitment to cyber resilience.
“This premier event offers invaluable opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing and recognizing excellence in business transformation, empowering attendees to drive meaningful change within their industries,” Nandikotkur said.
Beyond the specially crafted and content-rich agenda, the CIO Business Transformation Awards and Summit will provide attendees the opportunity to collaborate and network with industry peers, thought leaders and solution providers.
