AI Governance and Insider Threats to Headline ISMG’s 12th Financial Services Cybersecurity Summit
Banking, Insurance and Fintech Leaders to Explore AI Risks, Zero Trust, Passwordless Security and Cyber Insurance
Princeton, NJ – ISMG is pleased to announce the 12th annual Financial Services Cybersecurity Summit. Slated to occur in New York on Nov. 6, this two-track event will address AI security risks, supply chain vulnerabilities, cyber risk quantification and insider threat detection through expert-led panels and interactive workshops.
The summit will bring together CISOs, chief risk officers, security operations leaders and compliance executives from banks, investment firms, insurance companies and fintech organizations. The sessions will delve into artificial intelligence governance frameworks, zero trust architecture, passwordless authentication strategies, third-party risk management and evolving cyber insurance requirements. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to strengthen security postures, meet regulatory compliance demands and manage emerging threats across IT and operational systems.
“Financial institutions face unprecedented pressure to secure AI implementations while managing evolving regulatory requirements and sophisticated threat actors,” said Jennifer Eisenhofer, vice president of events at ISMG. “This summit brings together the security leaders who are on the front lines of these challenges to share practical strategies and learn from each other’s experiences.”
The summit opens with a keynote panel titled “AI in Financial Services: What’s Real?” Moriah Hara, AI security and risk consultant, board advisor, author and three times CISO for Fortune 500 companies, and Hardik Mehta, global head of risk and regulatory compliance at JPMorgan Chase, will share their experience with AI in major financial service institutions. The session will examine how AI augments security operations centers, how autonomous agents can support humans, and frameworks necessary to govern AI use. The discussion will examine what AI success looks like, which AI-powered goals are realistic and which might be deployed to impress boards.
A panel discussion will address the path to a passwordless future, exploring advances in biometrics, hard tokens and passkeys. Vlad Brodsky, chief information officer and CISO at OTC Markets Group and a CyberEdBoard member, Steve Lenderman, head of fraud prevention at iSolved and a CyberEdBoard member, and Josh Cigna, solutions architect at Yubico, will consider how these advances can improve or impede customer experience. The panel will discuss implications for identity security, passwordless attacks and the role of data analytics and AI in supporting passwordless security frameworks.
The event also includes an interactive Solution Room led by Hiral Mehta, partner at Mayer Brown LLP and former chief of the Business and Securities Fraud Section at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, and Imran Khan, vice president of cybersecurity transformation at BNP Paribas. Participants will respond to a simulated AI-augmented insider threat scenario and develop actionable strategies for containment, detection and long-term defense.
“Our goal is to move beyond theoretical discussions and equip attendees with tools they can implement immediately,” Eisenhofer said. “The Solution Room exercise exemplifies this approach, giving participants hands-on experience responding to the types of AI-augmented threats they’ll face in their organizations.”
The Financial Services Cybersecurity Summit: New York delivers practical strategies for CISOs, security operations leaders and risk executives navigating AI governance, insider threats and regulatory compliance in an evolving threat landscape.
