Top Cybersecurity Experts Collaborate to Tackle AI Adoption Challenges and Define Best Practices

Princeton, NJ – CyberEdBoard, the premier private community of executive cybersecurity leaders, is thrilled to announce its latest initiative, the “CyberEdBoard AI Fear and Risk Management Working Group.” Bringing together some of the brightest minds in cybersecurity, this working group is the latest example of CyberEdBoard’s leadership at the forefront of emerging technology risks.

As AI adoption accelerates, enterprises are facing heightened concerns about governance, compliance and safe deployment. CyberEdBoard’s working group is designed to address these concerns head on focusing on key areas such as AI maturity assessment, supply chain security, vendor risk management, enterprise adoption and product engineering.

“From the start, CyberEdBoard was built to meet the real needs of cybersecurity leaders,” said Raquel Sanchez, global executive director of CyberEdBoard. “We deliver strategic value through trusted relationships, actionable insight and leadership development that leads to real outcomes. This initiative is both a call to action and a place to lead with purpose.”

Chaired and facilitated by James DeLuccia, product security chief at Honeywell, the working group includes senior cybersecurity leaders from global enterprises across sectors such as healthcare, media, finance and investment. Members include:

  • Richard Bird, chief security officer/advisor/author, Singulr AI
  • Tiauna Ross, senior director of digital and ERP cybersecurity, Stryker Medical Devices
  • Jez Reichmann, deputy CISO, Channel 4
  • Rick Doten, vice president, information security, CISO, Centene
  • Dom Lucas, head of security, British International Investment
  • John Chan, director of technology – AI/ML, Raymond James
  • Heather West, senior director of cybersecurity and privacy services, Venable
  • Fred Harris, head of cybersecurity risk, Société Générale

“I find the greatest benefits we can give to the world is through the elimination of fear with knowledge and community. By breaking down our fears we can empower our own teams and companies to truly innovate, as they are capable and desire using AI,” DeLuccia said.

This distinguished group is tasked with publishing a series of thought-leading papers that address real-world AI risks and fears with strategic, actionable guidance. Each thought paper will follow a structured framework, including executive summaries, problem definitions, deep dives into risk and actionable best practices. They will also include real-world case studies, implementation road maps and calls to action.

This clarity-driven structure ensures every piece is impactful, relevant and aligned with CyberEdBoard’s mission to overcome adoption barriers through security, innovation and effective risk management.

The Working Group will present findings at the CyberEdBoard Virtual Summit later this year, positioning themselves as key voices in the evolving AI security conversation. CyberEdBoard regularly convenes industry experts for high-impact initiatives that shape cybersecurity best practices.

This initiative also underscores CyberEdBoard’s unique value: members not only stay on the cutting edge – they shape it. Members in the working groups become published thought leaders, helping to define industry standards while gaining personal recognition across the cybersecurity community.

This group was formed in response to a growing sense of urgency. AI is becoming embedded in everything – from developer tools to vendor platforms – yet many organizations remain unsure of how to adopt AI safely. Key questions continue to challenge security leaders: Are our teams trained to prompt AI effectively? Are our vendors exposing our data? Are we managing third-party AI risk, or just assuming it’s handled?

CyberEdBoard members don’t just ask these questions – they answer them. They move from fear to strategy. From blockers to enablers. From “no” to “how.”
