ISMG Announces Major New Expansion Into Israel

Ryan Loder

Leader in Cybersecurity Education and Intelligence Announces Establishment of Israeli Business Entity

Princeton, NJ – January 5, 2022 – Information Security Media Group (ISMG) announced today the opening of their new business entity in Israel.  This marks yet another expansion for the rapidly growing company, as they continue to affirm their position in the EMEA region.

“We are excited to announce the presence of ISMG in Israel,” said Sanjay Kalra, CEO of ISMG.  “As we end 2021 with the most all-around growth we’ve seen in the company’s history, we’re also marking the start of a new era at ISMG.  We have always been at the forefront of the evolution of cybersecurity intelligence and education, and have always believed in the importance of having a presence in cybersecurity epicenters.  Israel offers opportunities supporting both of those ideals, and our entrance in this market is overdue.”

Israel is one of the most important locations for research, development, and startups in the cybersecurity space.  In 2021 there was almost $18 billion in cybersecurity venture capital investment in Israel, up from just $10 billion in 2020.  That accounts almost 36% of all VC cybersecurity investment worldwide.  Additionally the growth in cybersecurity related companies has been exponential as well, with 162 companies in 2011 to almost 450 in 2021.

“Israel’s history of innovation and entrepreneurship in the cybersecurity space is unmatched in the rest of the world.  They are building the tools and technology to fight the cyber threats of tomorrow.  We are going to be right there beside these leading organizations, using our experience in cybersecurity and expertise in marketing to get these entities to market successfully.  Not only in Israel, but around the world. By utilizing our first-party intent data and business intelligence we will assist these Israeli cybersecurity vendors to grow and achieve their goals” said Mike D’Agostino, ISMG’s General Manager.

Over the past 15 years ISMG has worked with leading Israeli cybersecurity companies including Check Point, BioCatch, Cybereason, Checkmarx, Orca, and many others.  All of ISMG’s subsidiaries will be taking an active role as expansion continues into Israel, including CyberTheory (a marketing advisory firm), CyberEdBoard (a global community for security leaders), CyberEd.io (cybersecurity education provider), as well as ISMG’s digital media and events business units.

“At ISMG we have always let the needs and the demands of the cybersecurity community inform our strategy.  Our expansion into Israel is just a part of that.  Despite the pandemic we have seen historic increases in the number of events we are producing, as well as doubling our headcount across the globe to support the cybersecurity community.  And this latest expansion doesn’t mark an end to our growth.  2022 will see more exciting news, innovation and experiences. The new chapter for ISMG has just started,” said Kalra.
