ISMG Holds Groundbreaking Security Summit in Sydney, Australia

Information Security Media Group

Information Security Media Group, the leading media provider to the information security community, continued its global summit series with its inaugural event in Sydney, Australia on July 11th, 2017

Senior leaders from the security community in Australia gathered to hear from the leading security experts in the region, including: Catherine Buhler, CISO, BlueScope Steel; Ben Chung, CISO, NTT Communications; and Ian Yip, chief technology officer – Asia Pacific, McAfee.

The event brought together leaders from the financial services, government, technology and other sectors to discuss timely issues, including ransomware, insider threat detection, privileged access management and many more.

“The need for in-person events is so strong in our country that ISMG was happy to fill a void of needed education to the community through our inaugural event,” says Jeremy Kirk, ISMG’s Syndey-based executive editor.

CA Technologies, a sponsor of the event, provided a discussion of access management, led by Alex Mosher, vice president of security strategy. This session was followed by an executive luncheon where leaders met to discuss the topic in greater detail.

So far in 2017, ISMG has also held summits in San Francisco, Mumbai, Chicago and Atlanta. Upcoming events will be held in New York, Toronto, London, Singapore, Bangalore and New Delhi.
