Healthcare, Fraud and Financial Services Leaders to Exchange Frontline Lessons Across Three Days

Princeton, NJ – ISMG will host Resilience Week 2026, a three-summit series running Oct. 6 to 8 in New York, bringing together healthcare, fraud prevention and financial services cybersecurity leaders to confront a threat landscape reshaped by AI, tightening regulation and escalating third-party risk.

The week opens with the 11th annual HealthSec NYC Summit on Oct. 6, themed “Healthcare Resilience: Cybersecurity When Patient Lives Are at Stake.” The Fraud Prevention USA Summit follows on Oct. 7, under the theme “Adaptive Resilience: Rebuilding Trust in the Age of AI-Driven Fraud.” The week closes with the 13th annual FinServ Cybersecurity USA Summit on Oct. 8, themed “Security Strategies, Re(de)fined: Calibrating Our Defenses When Every Second Counts.”

“Healthcare, fraud and financial services used to treat resilience as separate problems. AI has erased that line – the same attack patterns, the same vendor exposure, the same speed problem are hitting all three sectors at once. Resilience Week puts those leaders in the same room, across three consecutive days, so they’re not solving it in isolation,” said Kudsia Kaker, managing director at QG Media. “These are practitioners, not vendors, sharing what’s actually working and what isn’t. Our goal is to send every attendee back to their organization with frameworks they can put to use immediately, not just ideas to think about.”

Healthcare: Regulatory Alignment Meets Active Threat Response

At HealthSec NYC Summit, Suzanne Schwartz, director CDRH at FDA, in her presentation “Aligning Device Security Priorities With Regulatory Expectations” will unpack how medical device manufacturers can meet federal pre- and post-market expectations without sacrificing innovation or operational velocity.

Paul Smith, director of information technology – identity services at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, will share the hospital’s enterprisewide passwordless authentication framework in the case study “Frictionless and Fast: NewYork-Presbyterian’s Blueprint for Enterprisewide Passwordless Access.”

A panel featuring Rectangle Health’s Christopher Frenz, RWJBarnabas Health’s Hussein Syed and Amneal Pharmaceuticals’ Kevin Crain, moderated by H-ISAC’s Phil Englert, will examine “Shifting From Cyber Defense to Cyber Resilience in Healthcare” in the wake of the Change Healthcare and Stryker cyberattacks.

Fraud Prevention: Burnout, Fusion Centers and the AI-Enabled Threat

Fraud and risk leaders confront the operational strain on their teams in the discussion “Fraud Team Burnout, Staffing Models and the Operational Overhead Crisis,” a panel moderated by UBS’ Keith Koval, featuring Flywire’s Sharada Iyer, J.P. Morgan’s Alec Grant and TIAA’s Dalit Stern.

A second panel, “Financial Crime Fusion Centers: Unifying Fraud, Cyber and AML Operations,” moderated by the ACFE New York Chapter’s Dora Gomez, brings together BMO’s Lawrence Zelvin, Gusto’s John Wiethorn, Citi’s Liseli Pennings and Valley National Bank’s Richard Vitale to examine how institutions are unifying fraud, cyber and anti-money laundering functions into shared operating models.

Financial Services: Agentic AI and Resilience by Design

FinServ Cybersecurity USA kicks off its featured sessions with “Leading Through the Agentic AI Era: Perspectives on Building Trust,” a panel featuring OTC Markets Group’s Vlad Brodsky, Temenos’ Eric Hussey, BlackRock’s Praveen Nallasamy and CISO Radhika Bajpai, examining how the CISO role is evolving as AI agents and machine identities join the workforce.

The panel discussion “Resilience by Design: Building Organizations That Withstand the Unexpected” brings together Amalgamated Bank’s Sean Friedman, Vanguard’s Florin Danu, KBC Bank & Verzekering’s Theodore Darko and risk expert Alex Golbin to explore strategies for containing risks, stress-testing disaster recovery and building adaptability into response.

Held on consecutive days at the Westin New York at Times Square, the three summits will reflect the growing overlap between healthcare, fraud and financial services as sectors converge around shared AI-driven risks. Each summit will examine resilience through the lens of its respective sector while addressing challenges that increasingly cut across traditional industry boundaries.
