Senior CISOs and Risk Leaders Will Gather to Exchange Hard-Earned Lessons in Cyber Resilience

Princeton, NJ – ISMG is set to host the Cyber Resilience Summit Dallas on June 9, bringing senior security and risk leaders together under the theme, “Deep Defenses: Fortifying the Digital Frontier.”

The one-day summit will convene more than 100 senior-level attendees, including CISOs, CIOs, heads of security, risk leaders and resilience stakeholders, from across industries for a focused exchange of practical lessons and proven approaches to cyber resilience.

Against a backdrop of geopolitical volatility and growing third-party and supply chain risk, the agenda spans incident response maturity, recovery planning, security modernization and supplier ecosystem defense. Sessions will explore how organizations can harness artificial intelligence to preempt adversarial tactics, convert threat data into proactive defense, and transition from reactive response to proactive cyber operations.

Attendees can expect fireside chats on the human factor and incident response, a real-world zero trust case study, a soft skills workshop on stakeholder alignment, and an exclusive panel debating security- versus resilience-based strategies for cyber survival. The unifying theme: governance as the foundation of a fortified digital frontier.

“Cyber resilience is no longer an aspirational framework; it is an operational imperative – and the urgency has never been greater,” said Kudsia Kaker, managing director at QG Media, an ISMG company. “The Cyber Resilience Summit Dallas brings together the practitioners who are living this reality every day, from defending the human layer to rethinking what survival looks like after a breach. We designed this forum to deliver the kind of frank, experience-driven dialogue that moves organizations from strategy to action.”

Two fireside chats will set the tone for the day’s most pressing conversations. In the first, moderator Mitcheal Veenstra of ACH Child and Family Services will join Cecil Pineda, CISO and senior vice president at R1 RCM, to challenge one of security’s most stubborn myths: that people are the weakest link. The session will make the case for moving beyond shame-based compliance training toward behavioral change that turns every employee into a proactive line of defense.

The second fireside chat, moderated by Mignona Coté, senior vice president and CISO at Infor, and featuring Leslie Saravia of Overhead Door Corporation, will take on the “detection-to-response” gap head-on, charting a path from reactive firefighting to proactive cyber operations through threat hunting, continuous exposure management and automated deception.

Two additional sessions will round out an agenda built for depth and hands-on engagement. Michael Anderson, CISO at Dallas College, will lead a workshop on the soft skills that technical leaders often underestimate: how to translate cyber risk into business language, build cross-functional alliances, and win the executive buy-in that a security vision demands. The day will close with a panel moderated by Richard Weiss, CISO at MRO, bringing together Jody Cantello of Trajus, Bhavesh Advani of Cenlar FSB, and Catherine Wiles of Farmer Brothers Coffee to debate one of the field’s most uncomfortable questions: has the industry’s obsession with prevention come at the cost of true resilience, and what does it really mean to survive a breach rather than simply resist one?

The Cyber Resilience Summit Dallas will serve as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, bringing together the region’s foremost security and risk leaders to confront the challenges defining the discipline today and engage in the kind of strategic, peer-driven dialogue that strengthens organizations from the inside out.
