Perth Summit Features OT Governance Panels and SASE Frameworks While Houston Event Addresses Resilience and Technology Stack Decisions

Princeton, NJ – QG Media, an ISMG company, is pleased to announce the return of its Cyber Security for Critical Assets summits to Perth on Feb. 10 and 11, 2026, and Houston on March 10 to 12, 2026. The summits will bring together senior cybersecurity leaders from critical industries, including oil and gas, mining, utilities, maritime and healthcare, to address security challenges in operational technology.

“As nation-state and hybrid threats increasingly target critical infrastructure, security leaders are being forced to rethink how they govern, defend and recover critical infrastructure,” said Kudsia Kaker, managing director of QG Media. “The CS4CA summits in Perth and Houston are designed to give practitioners practical, peer-driven insight into OT governance, IT/OT convergence and resilience strategies that go beyond theory and address today’s real-world risk.”

ANZ Summit: OT Governance, Standards Implementation and National Infrastructure Protection

At the ANZ summit, security leaders will address critical OT challenges through panel discussions, case studies and workshops. Key topics include:

  • Governance and responsibility: John Edwards, chief cyber security officer at East Metropolitan Health Service, will moderate “Governance and Responsibility: Who Owns OT Security?” The panelists will examine who owns responsibility for OT security in converged IT/OT environments.
  • Cloud security in OT: Woodside Energy experts will challenge assumptions about cloud security in industrial environments, demonstrating how a Secure Access Service Edge framework can strengthen industrial security when implemented with proper controls and safeguards.
  • National infrastructure strategy: Brendan Dowling, deputy secretary of critical infrastructure and protective security at Australia’s Department of Home Affairs, will share insights on the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Center strategy, covering threat evolution, mandatory risk management programs and practical resilience strategies for securing national infrastructure.

USA Summit: Nation-State Threats, Resilience Strategies and Secure Technology Integration

In Houston, the CS4CA USA summit returns for its 14th edition with practitioner-focused sessions that will address the escalating threat landscape facing U.S. critical infrastructure. Key topics include:

  • Nation-state and hybrid threats: Tatyana Bolton, executive director at Operation Technology Cybersecurity Coalition, will moderate a panel examining collaborative models for public-private sector partnerships, realistic defenses against expanding attack surfaces and defensive strategies against adversaries using agentic AI.
  • Resilience through high availability: Arnold “Marty” Martin, director of process control technology at Air Liquide, will share field-tested practices for building resilience through high availability, covering virtualization technology, clustering for disaster recovery and maintaining 24/7 production environments even after successful compromise.
  • Building OT security stacks: Anthony Perry, director of IT/OT/IoT security at FedEx, will moderate a panel on building effective OT security technology stacks. Panelists will discuss tool selection principles, integration challenges, common pitfalls in validating solutions and demonstrating return on investment to leadership.

CS4CA USA Introduces Hands-On Technical Workshops

For the first time, the Houston summit extends into a third day with two intensive workshops on March 12, 2026. Designed for OT architects, infrastructure security leads and practitioners seeking practical implementation skills, the workshops feature live lab environments and real-world scenario training.

Beyond Layer 2: VXLAN Overlays for Critical Infrastructure

This workshop explores how VXLAN technology enables Layer 2 communication over scalable Layer 3 networks and how organizations can align VXLAN with IEC 62443 zones and conduits for logical segmentation. Led by Andy Piatek, digital solutions director at Novus Technical Services and chair of the ISA Smart Manufacturing & IIoT Industrial Connectivity Technical Committee, the workshop includes hands-on labs where participants use Containerlab to configure VTEPs, validate OT traffic over Layer 3 underlays and troubleshoot common design errors.

When Prevention Fails: Building Real OT Disaster Recovery That Works

This workshop addresses recovery capabilities in OT environments and moves beyond prevention and detection to build effective disaster recovery strategies. Led by John Ballentine, ICS cybersecurity program lead at Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and James Brake, director of OT cybersecurity services at LCRA, the workshop covers NIST CSF and IEC 62443 recovery requirements, vendor dependency management and hands-on exercises in writing disaster recovery plans and designing recovery drills.

Security leaders will gain actionable approaches to governance, segmentation, access management and patch management while exploring how peers are integrating emerging technologies into OT environments.

Registration is now open for both summits. Workshop seats are limited to ensure hands-on participation. For more information and to register, visit CS4CA ANZ or CS4CA USA.
